This creative memoir class is tailored for students who have already taken level one, who want to advance their memoir writing skills. We will continue to unlock secret professional writers’ techniques that were impossible to cover in only 5 weeks, that will make your work stand out and shine. This class has taken feedback from students and will give more time on workshopping your own work. Let’s continue on your journey of self-discovery and creative expression!
What You Will Learn:
Secret Writing Techniques: We are moving forward with more advanced creative writing techniques to apply to memoir writing — don’t worry, if you have taken Level 1, or at least the first class of Level 1, you will be ready for this!
Specific Techniques: This will include character- & world-building. What makes the reader keep reading is not just limited to plot and storytelling. Without a strong character and a believable world, there is no good writing.
Crafting Your Story: We barely scratched the surface on how to structure your memoir in the most effective way in Level 1. In Level 2, we will spend more time to help you feel confident about your narrative arc.
Editing and Polishing: In Level 2, we will workshop each other’s work a lot more. There are tons of editing tips we have not shared yet!
Publishing Your Memoir: We will do another mini-lecture on publishing to include some tips that we didn’t cover fully in Level 1.

Who Should Attend:
This class is perfect for those who have had some memoir writing experiences and have learned basic techniques. It’s okay if you still do not have a detailed plan for your memoir — this class will help you get there.
